My First Commissioned Sketch

This is my first commissioned sketch. 💵  I got it done just in time before Hurricane Irma starts to affect the weather in my area on Sunday. 🌊🌀

Girl With Puggle Sketch

This is a sketch of a friend I met recently, along with her Puggle.  This is also the first time that I’ve ever sketched a dog.  Dogs have so much personality, and it’s fun to capture it in a sketch.

Heartbreak Sketch

Everyone has had their heart broken by someone.  I’ve had my heart broken many times in relationships. So I decided to start a new pencil sketch series of the women who have broken my heart over the years.

This is number 1.  I won’t tell you her name, but I will tell you that I was very much in love with her.  In the end she married someone else, but I still have fond memories of the time we shared.

How have you handled heartbreak in the past?

1995

Today I finished my drawing of O.J. Simpson.  Watching his parole hearing last week brought back so many memories of where I was, and what I was doing during his trial in 1995.  💭

Baseball season is in full swing, so I decided to start a new series of pencil sketches!  The New York Yankees are my favorite team, and this is number 1 of my New York Yankees Legends series, Babe Ruth.

I was listening to the Masters Tournament on the radio over the past weekend, and thinking about how much I missed watching Tiger Woods play.  Since today is the 20th anniversary of Tiger’s first Masters win, I decided to sketch a picture of him.  It sure would be great to see him win another one!

Daily Sketch

On this day in 1981, President Ronald Reagan was shot in an assassination attempt by John Hinckley Jr.  I always thought it was interesting that John Hinckley Jr. was found not guilty by reason of insanity due to his obsession with Jodie Foster and the 1976 movie Taxi Driver.   President Reagan, who was 70 years old at the time, walked into George Washington Hospital after being shot once in his left lung and survived the attack.
